Milady's Blossom Garden -

A Drawn Thread Sampler

Price: 10.50 GBP

(Stitch count: 277 x 66)

A stunning, heirloom design - one that will have generations to come gasping in awe!  Inspired by the Japanese cherry-blossom festival of Sakura, this delicate project begins with cross-stitch, adds specialty stitches, and then you are walked through those amazing, lacy, airy bands of drawn-thread work.   Originally designed as a teaching piece with detailed step-by-step instructions and full, easy-to-follow diagrams for every stage, if you've worked on even weave fabric before, you'll be fine with this one, although it's not a novice piece (please try Tree of Stitches for your first foray into even weave and special stitches).

The Mojo Sampler

If you love special stitches, or just want to go beyond cross stitch and back stitch, then this is the sampler for you!  An amazing piece that has no less than 34 special stitches, plus the addition of beads and room/explanations of how to personalise your sampler.   Chose 2 tones of one colour, and 3 of another, some beads, and off you go on your step-by-step journey!

Click on the name to see more details of this sampler.

Fireworks Stitcher's Companion

A lovely wallet to keep your precious scissors and needles safe - the perfect gift for any stitcher, if you can bear to part with it!

Summer Tree of Stitches

A learning piece; from cross stitch to sorbello stitch, from beginner to expert, this incredible design is over 50 pages long.  You'll be walked through each stage, from selecting colours, to putting the final touches to your unique heirloom piece.

This project is a companion to the original Tree of Stitches, though it is larger.

Victorian Knotwork Garden

This pretty piece is quick to stitch.  Originally designed to be made into a kite-shaped scissor pocket, the photo shows how effective this piece would be framed, patched or as a box top.  With grateful thanks to TSS Member Corina for this gorgeous pic!

A Confetti of Hardanger

This beautiful project teaches the technique of Hardanger, from the basics, right up to more advanced filling stitches.  Alternatives are offered for a non-cut version, too, if you would rather not take scissors to your work!

Incredible value - the PDF is over 70 pages long, crammed full of superb instructions, and is split into two to make downloading faster.

Tree Of Stitches

A different sort of sampler, to learn a range of speciality stitches.  For beginners new to evenweave fabrics, and anyone who loves learning new stitches.

 Little Lace Hardanger

A pretty teaching sampler for beginners new to Hardanger.  Shown worked on 22ct Hardanger fabric, it is also suitable for any evenweave fabric.

Beau Bands - Drawn Thread Version

Beau Bands was designed as a learning band sampler, which can be finished as a hussif, bell-pull or framed piece.

Beryl's Blessings Hardanger

All proceeds from the sale of this design will go to Macmillan Cancer Care

A quick to stitch, pretty hardanger sampler, inspired by my Mum!  Great for beginners.

Heart of My Heart

This gorgeous design can be worked in a multitude of colour-ways.  It's perfect for a Wedding or wedding anniversary, or a special birthday, even a birth!   It's not 'too' girly - a change of colours could make it  just the thing to stitch for a husband or boyfriend for Valentine's Day!

It is crammed full of speciality stitches, all fully diagrammed, with a simple hardanger heart at the bottom that can be cut or uncut, depending on how brave you feel!

Spring Basket

A very feminine, quick-to-stitch picture, with a few well-diagrammed special stitches among a scattering of cross-stitches and beads.

The Fuchsia Is Bright Biscornu

A beautiful biscornu of simple special stitches.  Comes will full instructions on how to make this deceptive pincushion shape - it's much easier than you'd think!

Kate's Butterflies Sewing Set

A quick-to-stitch sewing set, comprising of a needlebook, scissor case, and scissor fob.  Choose just three colours - one for your butterflies, one for your flowers, and a green - and off you go!  A great gift for anyone who stitches!

The Great Escape

This picture is made up of a host of different specialty stitches - there are only half a dozen or so cross stitches in the entre piece!  For the more advanced stitcher, learn stitches such as fly, wheatear, Star-Flower, Basque, Sorbello and Jessica - I take you step-by-step through each one.  This is a BIG file; 32 pages in total.

Each Sweet Stitch

If you like your designs to be intricate and delicate, with lots of variety, this is the one for you!

Specifically designed for hand-dyed fabrics (although it would look equally stunning on plain-dyed fabrics), this one fits perfectly on to a 9" x 12" standard cut.  It can be framed or made into a needle roll.

Not for a novice stitcher; some experience of working on evenweave or linen required (not suitable for aida fabric).

Advice is given for selecting thread colours to use on a hand-dyed fabric.

A small piece, but a wealth of information!
