Fireworks Stitcher's Companion

This little wallet is the perfect 'companion' for any stitcher!

Inspired by the 'explosion' of colours in the autumn woods by my home, as well as the festival of Bonfire Night in the UK, it opens to reveal a place for your favourite pair of scissors, and marked slots for the different needles a stitcher uses.  It closes using magnetic jewellery clasps, meaning no fussy fiddling with buttons or ties (though of course, you could use those if you preferred).  It would make a wonderful gift - if you can bear to part with it!

It's quick to work and easy to make up.  Scissors are kept snug and safe, and will NOT fall out if you pop this wallet into a bag.
You can stiffen the wallet with mount-board/strong cardboard, but why not try using craft-weight interfacing, making the entire wallet washable (provided you've used washable fabric and threads, of course!)

Stitches used are Jessica Stitch, Corner Ray, Triple Cross, Modified Tied Windmill, and Amadeus.  All stitches are diagrammed, though this is not a novice piece.
Making-up instructions are thoroughly explained - if you can whip through back-stitches, you can make up this case!

Choose a hand-dyed stranded thread that really 'calls' to you; add another for back-stitch details, a metallic, and some beads.
You could do the entire wallet on one piece of 28ct fabric, cut 13" x 18", but why not 'mix it up' - have a different colour for the inside (cut 9" x 18" for the outer and pocket, and 9" x 10" for the inner).
You could even use another colour fabric for the pocket!   Just remember to use the SAME TYPE/COUNT of fabric for all the pieces (all 28ct linen, or all 28ct jobelan, for example).

Idea - You could easily make a sweet little scissor fob from one of the motifs -  hang it from a cord long enough to swing outside the case as an extra touch!
