Little Lace Hardanger

A pretty hardanger piece ideal for those new to the technique.  Worked on 22ct hardanger fabric, or 28ct evenweave, I show you how to work the basics of hardanger in easy, simple steps.  You'll be amazed at how easy this technique is!

You are introduced to Perle threads and their equivalents, and shown how to work satin-stitch, klosters, eyelets, and double-cable  stitch (sometimes called reverse double faggotting), woven bars and Dove's eye filling stitches.

Included are the instructions for making the book jacket, although it makes a lovely framed piece or perhaps the front flap of a bag, or to decorate a cushion/pillow top.

Little Lace was originally designed as a Stitch-A-Long on the Yahoo group, The Stitch Specialists, and is specifically designed to be worked one stage at a time.   You can take your time and go at your own pace, feel your confidence grow, and perhaps be inspired to learn more about this wonderful stitch technique.
